Nike's next Air Max 95 Lux comes from an Italian sneaker shop instead of an Italian workshop. Italian boutique One Block Down is teaming up with Nike on a triple-black Air Max 95 Big Bubble Lux (IM0704-001) for Holiday 2026, according to Sole Retriever. It'll cost $200, comes in unisex sizing and sells only through One Block Down, in-store and online. Sole Retriever also says three more One Block Down colorways are coming in the same window.
Nike's Lux line has been handing leather Air Force 1s and Air Maxes to Italian craftsmen for a while now. This one goes all in on leather. Where the 95 usually has gradient suede side panels, this pair stacks waves of black leather, so the famous layers look carved instead of stitched on. Soft black leather covers the toe, gridded leather takes the place of the mesh above the waves, and the lace panel, lace loops, tongue and laces are all black too. Beyond that, Sole Retriever points out translucent blue inside the Air bubbles and a One Block Down logo on the heel tab.
Our take: an all-black leather 95 sounds plain on paper, but the wavy leather is what makes it. Up close it looks like a $200 shoe and not a $200 colorway. It's also a nice win for European shops: One Block Down gets a Nike collab with real design changes, not just a logo on the heel. Fair warning: when only one store in Italy is selling it, "just grab a pair" turns into a full-time job pretty fast.
