New York is throwing itself a party tonight, and Nike brought shoes. Ahead of the Knicks' championship ring ceremony and banner raising at Madison Square Garden (right before the season opener against the 76ers), Nike and Foot Locker are running a Rings-N-Things pop-up just steps from the Garden. The headliner, per Sneaker News, is a limited release of Jalen Brunson's Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro PE.
The details are short and sweet. Pairs go on sale today, October 20, at 10 AM ET at 125 West 33rd Street in Manhattan, first come, first served, and the Foot Locker flyer says it plainly: while supplies last. No online link and no price were posted. This is the "Arancia" PE Brunson debuted earlier in 2026, and Sneaker News says a bigger release is expected later this year, so the rest of the country isn't completely shut out.
The shoe itself doesn't whisper. It's orange on orange from the honeycomb cage down through the sole, with a blue Swoosh on the heel, which is about as Knicks as a Kobe can get without wearing a jersey. "Arancia" is Italian for orange, a nice nod to the Italy years of Kobe's childhood.
Our take: dropping the captain's PE on ring night, steps from the Garden, is a smart bit of timing. Anyone in that line already has orange and blue on. Everyone else gets a preview of what should be one of the louder Kobe Protros of the season when the wider release lands. Brunson doesn't need the hype, but the Kobe 3 Low is happy to take it.
