NEEDLES just raided the Pendleton blanket closet. Nepenthes posted the official lookbook for NEEDLES x PENDLETON Fall/Winter 2026 today, and the collab releases Saturday, October 24 in Japan.
Pendleton has been weaving wool in Oregon since 1863, so the brief here was simple: take its plaids and blanket patterns and run them through the NEEDLES way of cutting clothes. The lineup is six pieces. There's a Pen Jacket (¥82,500), a Classic Shirt (¥55,000) and H.D. Pants (¥56,100) in wool plaid, so you can go full matching set in red, yellow or blue. Then a Shawl Collar Coat in wool plaid melton (¥170,500), a Cowichan Sweater (¥104,500) and a Mohair Sweater in Pendleton's Harding pattern (¥90,200).

Per Nepenthes and Fullress, it's sold through Nepenthes, with stores in Tokyo, Osaka and Hakata plus South2 West8 in Sapporo. No US release has been announced.
Our take: the H.D. Pant is the giveaway. That's the wide NEEDLES pant a lot of people already treat like a uniform, and now it comes in the same plaid as the jacket. The full head-to-toe plaid look is a commitment, sort of like dressing as a picnic blanket on purpose, but the lookbook makes a convincing case. If that's too much, the Harding mohair sweater is the best single piece here. It's also a good fall for NEEDLES collabs, after A Tribe Called Quest and SOREL.
At ONENESS: the Pendleton pieces are a Japan release through Nepenthes and aren't part of our lineup, but NEEDLES is on the rack. Check the Rib Collar Velour Track Jacket in Red, the Printed Coach Jacket in Python and the rest of our NEEDLES collection.
