Update, October 16: One thing changed since we first wrote this up: it isn't a Third of June-only boot after all. Third of June still gets it first, tomorrow, Saturday, October 17, in-store at 801 Greenwich Street and online. Then it goes wider on Monday, October 19 through Timberland's own website and select Timberland stores, according to Complex and Modern Notoriety. Modern Notoriety also lists the style code as TB0A2N24APC and says every pair comes with three sets of laces. Price is still $195, and no launch time has been posted. So if you can't get to the West Village this weekend, you get a two-day grace period instead of a resale tax.

Victor Kan has spent more than a decade buying Timberlands for other people's stores. Now there's one with his name in it. The Victor Kan x Timberland Euro Hiker GTX, officially "Timberland Curated by Victor Kan," drops Saturday, October 17 for $195, and it lands first at Third of June, the shop Kan opened this year at 801 Greenwich Street in the West Village. You can get it in-store or online there, in unisex sizing, according to Sole Retriever.

The boot is the Euro Hiker, that chunky '90s trail hiker that never really left the city. Kan's version gets a Gore-Tex lining and a palette that sounds odd on paper and looks great in person: taupe suede over most of the upper, silver mesh on the side panels and collar, and a burgundy suede tongue with an embossed tree. Black midsole, black lugs, a black toe bumper, a GTX tag on the side and a bright red insole that reads "Timberland Curated by Victor Kan." Sole Retriever's photos show it with white rope laces and with black-and-white ones, and both look right.

If the colors remind you of something, that's on purpose. When Kan first teased the boot in September, Footwear News noticed he was wearing beige, silver and burgundy Prada America's Cups in the teaser shots. A Prada sneaker colorway on a Timberland hiker is exactly the kind of high-low mix that Kan's buying career was built on.

"After working with Timberland closely for over a decade as a buyer and collaborator with various boutiques, I am now working with the brand under my own name," Kan wrote on Instagram, as quoted by Sole Retriever. That's the real story here. Retail buyers are usually invisible. They pick the pairs, set up the collabs and let the store take the credit. This time the buyer gets his name on the insole, and the boot launches at his own store instead of somebody else's. Our take: this is a good one. Gore-Tex makes the Euro Hiker actually useful in a New York winter, the taupe-and-burgundy combo stands out without trying too hard, and $195 is a fair price for a named collab boot in 2026. Third of June is one small shop, though, so plan on a real line Saturday, or wait for Timberland's wider release on Monday.

The details: Victor Kan x Timberland Euro Hiker GTX ("Timberland Curated by Victor Kan F26"), taupe / burgundy / silver, $195, style code TB0A2N24APC. Out Saturday, October 17, 2026 at Third of June NYC (in-store and online), then Monday, October 19 via Timberland's website and select Timberland stores, per Sole Retriever, Complex and Modern Notoriety. Launch time not yet posted.

At ONENESS: The collab launches at Third of June and then through Timberland's own channels; it isn't in the ONENESS catalog. If you want the Euro Hiker shape now, we carry the Timberland Euro Hiker in Dark Brown Nubuck, and there's more in Timberland at ONENESS.
