Salomon is leaning all the way into alpine cosplay for fall, and somehow it works. The Alpine Echoes capsule reworks three of the brand's most recognizable shapes — the technical X-ALP, the trail classic XA PRO 3D, and the strapped RX Marie-Jeanne — in premium leather, rope-inspired details and technical mesh, with a clear nod to Alps culture rather than another gray-on-gray city sneaker pack.
Per Fullress, the Japan drop is set for Wednesday, October 14 at 10:00 AM JST (that's Tuesday evening ET). Our take: most "outdoor" capsules just spray Contagrip on a lifestyle shoe and call it a day. This one actually looks like it hiked somewhere. The Mary Jane with a metal Salomon buckle is the mischief piece — part trail recovery, part fashion week prop — while the X-ALP and XA PRO do the heavy lifting for anyone who still pretends their commute has elevation.
