PUMA and Japanese label SEDAN ALL-PURPOSE are working together for the first time, and they skipped the usual capsule and started a football club instead. The collection is team kit for S.C.SEDAN, a club that doesn't exist, and all five pieces land in Japan on Saturday, October 24. Houyhnhnm and Fullress both laid out the lineup today, and PUMA Japan already lists the sneaker as "Coming Soon."
The shoe is the PUMA × SEDAN V-S1 "Black" (410262-01, ¥19,800). The V-S1 is PUMA's street version of its speed-boot V-series and carries on the spirit of the 2008 V1.08. SEDAN keeps it dark and simple: a black upper with white stitching that nods to old-school spikes, a big cat logo across the lace cover, and a world-map print on the lining. The box is covered in the same map, so this is one you might actually keep. Underneath is a light EVA midsole, so you can walk around in a boot-looking shoe all day without paying for it.
The apparel is where the club idea really pays off. The Ventilation Track Jacket (¥25,300) and Ventilation Track Pants (¥24,200) are black jersey with zip vents down the sleeves and legs that open onto world-map mesh, so how much of the globe shows depends on how hot you're running. The collared World Map Game Shirt (¥22,000) is printed all over with the atlas, has flocked SEDAN ALL-PURPOSE lettering across the chest and the S.C.SEDAN crest. The fifth piece is a soft-brim World Map BB Cap (¥6,600). The shirt and cap both carry an original woven label modeled on older PUMA pieces, the kind of detail kit nerds check before they even look at the price.

Our take: football shirts in streetwear have mostly come in three flavors so far: real club kits, vintage club kits, and a brand logo on a jersey. Making up a whole club and giving it the atlas as home colors is a smarter angle than any of those. SEDAN normally makes relaxed '90s American basics, so watching it found a club with plans for world domination is a fun turn. Fair warning: the V-S1 looks fast, but it won't fix your first touch.
