NIGO and j-hope Team Up on a Nike Air Force 1 "Burnt Sunrise," Out October 22

NIGO and j-hope shake hands while seated on metal stools, both wearing the Nike Air Force 1 Burnt Sunrise collaboration sneakers

NIGO and j-hope just made the Air Force 1 crossover nobody saw coming until Nike put it on the table. The pair is the Nike Air Force 1 '01 "Burnt Sunrise" (IO8766-800), and Nike's own product listing has it at $150, hitting SNKRS on Thursday, October 22 at 10 AM ET as a LEO draw. Nike Sportswear's announcement also pointed to an earlier drop on October 17 through Human Made's site.

The colorway reads Burnt Sunrise, Taupe, Chlorine Blue and Metallic Gold. Glossy leather, a little metallic shine, Chlorine Blue accents, and squirrel graphics on the sockliner and heel that lean into j-hope's energy. In Nike's SNKRS interview, NIGO puts it simply: for fashion, you really only need an Air Force 1, a pair of Levi's 501s, and a white T-shirt. j-hope talks about dancing in white Forces until they were wrinkled. The dual tongue tags split the credit, one reading NIGO AIR FORCE 1 and the other J-HOPE AIR FORCE 1, which is the kind of detail that makes a collab feel like it was actually built by both people.

Our take: this is the rare collab where both names actually belong on the shoe. NIGO has been remixing the Force forever, and j-hope has been a real sneakerhead in public for years, not a logo-for-hire. Burnt Sunrise is a warm copper-orange that looks expensive without trying to be loud, and the squirrel graphics are the kind of inside joke that ages well. October 17 on Human Made and October 22 on SNKRS is a short window, so don't sleep on either side of the release if you want a pair.
