Nike Tech is officially more than a hoodie now. Nike just reintroduced the whole Nike Tech line as a year-round wardrobe, and the headliners are two new pieces: the waterproof Nike Tech SF3 jacket and an oversized high-pile fleece called Nike Tech Boreas. The refreshed collection lands November 5 on nike.com and at select retailers.
SF3 is Nike's most serious weather piece in the franchise so far. It uses recycled materials, fully sealed seams and a waterproof build that still breathes, and Nike says the fabric softens the longer you wear it, kind of like a leather jacket that also handles a monsoon. Per Sneaker News, it comes in at $350. Boreas, named after the Greek god of the cold north wind (Nike went full mythology class here), pairs high-pile fleece with water-repellent panels, an oversized fit and darted zip pockets. Sneaker News lists it at $195 in Black, Velvet Brown and New Slate.

The classic Nike Tech Fleece is still the anchor: double-sided smooth fleece, a relaxed shape and reflective Bemis tape along the chest and seams. Helios, Shori and Woven fill in the warmer months. "This new collection goes way beyond fleece," says Greg Nolley, Nike's Senior Manager of Men's Sportswear Apparel, who calls it "a head-to-toe proposition and a true inside-out layering system."
Our take: Tech Fleece has spent the last few years as a meme, a uniform and a debate topic all at once, so Nike leaning into actual fabric upgrades is the right move. Boreas at $195 is the one we'd grab first, since it looks like the cold-weather Tech Fleece people have been faking with two layers for years. SF3 at $350 is a real rain shell price, so it has to be as good as Nike says. We'll find out when the clouds open.
