Nike is doing Halloween the fun way this year: the shoes come with masks. Official images of two of its Halloween 2026 signature pairs started circulating this morning, and House of Heat has both. One is Cade Cunningham's Nike ST Charge "Halloween" (IZ2608-200), which everyone has been calling the "Leatherface." The other is Ja Morant's Nike Ja 4 "Halloween," which goes full zombie. Both are due October 23.
Start with Cade. The ST Charge comes in dark chocolate leather with a tan mesh panel, but the whole lower is wrapped in a jagged, sawtooth texture that looks like it lost a fight with a chainsaw. That's very much on purpose. Red rope laces, metal eyelets, bright green insoles and a speckled green Swoosh on one side finish it off. The real star is in the box: a stitched-skin Cade mask, half Cade and half Texas Chainsaw villain, with his signature on the forehead. Sneaker News reported the Leatherface angle earlier this week. Now that official images are out, it's clear Nike went all in. House of Heat lists it at $145.
Ja's pair is a different kind of creepy. The Ja 4 "Halloween" gets a mossy green and grey upper with a rotting-skin texture, loud orange-red Swooshes, fang-shaped lace hardware, a bronze heel piece and a translucent green outsole that House of Heat says glows in the dark. Its mask is a screaming zombie Ja with neon green dreads, which is exactly as much as it sounds like. House of Heat expects about $145 for adult sizes.

Our take: most Halloween colorways are just black and orange with a pumpkin on the insole. These two actually commit. The ST Charge looks like a prop from a horror movie in the best way, and the mask makes it a collector piece even if you never put it on. The Ja 4 is louder, but the glowing outsole is a nice touch. If you only grab one, go with Cade's pair. Just maybe don't wear the mask to the hoop court.
The details: Nike ST Charge "Halloween" (Cade Cunningham), IZ2608-200, $145, and Nike Ja 4 "Halloween," about $145 for adults. Both are set for October 23, 2026 through Nike and select retailers, per House of Heat. Nike hasn't posted a launch time yet.
Update (October 10, evening): The masks aren't just for the guys. House of Heat posted official images this afternoon of three more pairs from Nike's Halloween 2026 signature collection, and all three are also pointed at October 23. Sabrina Ionescu's Nike Sabrina 4 "Halloween" (IX7058-001) goes full vampire: black nearly everywhere, blood-red drips running off the back half of the Swoosh, splatter across the midsole, and a fanged vampire Sabrina mask to match. Caitlin Clark's Nike Caitlin 1 "Halloween" is the quiet one in the group. It's a black Opticast upper with ghost-green hits on two of the stacked Swooshes and the CC tongue logo, sitting on a glow-in-the-dark outsole, per Sole Retriever. And A'ja Wilson's Nike A'Two "Potion No. 22" (IZ2457-100) is the loudest thing in the building: mismatched sides with blood splatter on mint green against a red-and-yellow hex pattern, plus a bandaged, half-monster A'ja mask. Sneaker News reported earlier this month that the A'Two had already surfaced in select markets, so treat October 23 as House of Heat's date for the wider release. No prices were attached to the three yet.

Ranking the masks: Sabrina's vampire wins on pure commitment, A'ja's is the one that would actually scare a trick-or-treater, and Caitlin's pair showed up in the first images with no mask at all, just a sole that glows. Let the shoes do the talking, apparently.
Update (October 10, night): Giannis is in too. House of Heat posted images tonight of the Nike Giannis Freak 8 "Halloween" (IO7945-300), which its release page is calling the "Riddler," and the nickname fits. The upper is layered olive and lime green covered in scattered black graphics, with purple laces and metallic gold Swooshes, and the midsole and outsole switch to brighter greens. House of Heat says it releases alongside the rest of Nike Basketball's Halloween collection on October 23 for $130 through Nike.com and select retailers.

No mask showed up in these images, but the illustrated Giannis in a green bowler hat tells you exactly which villain they had in mind. Purple and green is a classic for a reason.
Update (October 10, evening): Kevin Durant showed up, and he came as the Slim Reaper. House of Heat posted images tonight of the Nike KD 19 "Halloween" (IO8112-600): a glossy red-orange upper, black laces and branding, a skeletal arm wrapped around the side, and a pale outsole with a glow-style look. The insoles carry a hooded, pretty sinister take on Durant himself. House of Heat says it releases with the rest of Nike Basketball's Halloween collection on October 23, with retail expected at $170.

Of all the pairs in this pack, this one commits the hardest to the bit. A nickname he's had for over a decade finally got its own shoe, and it looks like a candy apple that saw a ghost. House of Heat also listed Devin Booker's Frankenstein-stitched Book 2, a LeBron pair and a GT Cut 4 still to be revealed. All three are now official; see the October 16 update below.
Update (October 16): Nike Basketball has now shown the whole Halloween 2026 collection, and it's officially ten pairs for ten athletes. Each one is built around a costume and comes with a mask you can actually wear, per Sneaker News. Every pair also has a proper name now. The new one is LeBron James' Nike LeBron 24 "Storm Drain," a callback to his 2017 Pennywise costume from IT, with a KingKnit upper pattern that references the social post that went viral back then. Sneaker News has since listed it at $200 under style code IX5103-001, with red laces, Swooshes and crown logos standing in for the fangs. So the LeBron pair is a LeBron 24, not the Witness X that was floated earlier. Victor Wembanyama's Nike Zoom GT Cut 4 "Halloween" is out of hiding too. His "Alien" alter ego is back, with an upper pattern based on an abstract take on the Alien logo, and that logo also sits on the heel.
The rest of the names: Caitlin Clark's Caitlin 1 is the "Jinx." It's dressed as a witch, but it's named after a neighbor's cat she was scared of as a kid. Giannis' Freak 8 is "Trick Question" (the Riddler, as suspected). Devin Booker's Book 2 "Scary Chapter" goes back to one of his favorite horror movies as a kid. Sabrina's vampire pair is the Sabrina 4 "Count Ionescu," Ja's is the Ja 4 "Zombie," and KD's is the KD 19 "Slim Reaper." Cade's Texas Chain Saw Massacre ST Charge and A'ja's A'Two "Potion No. 22" fill out the ten. One timing change: Sneaker News says the collection starts releasing October 23 and the remaining pairs arrive on a rolling schedule after that, so don't assume every pair drops on the 23rd.

LeBron dressing up as Pennywise in 2017 and turning it into a shoe nine years later is the most LeBron thing possible. The storm-drain set, paper boat included, is the best scene in the whole campaign. Wemby's glowing alien locker comes in a close second.
Update (October 16, late morning): Ja Morant brought a second costume. Nike has also shown the Nike Ja 4 High "Halloween" (IQ3864-600), a zip-up high-top version of Ja's fourth shoe, and per Sole Retriever it releases October 31 through Nike and select retailers, in-store and online, for $180 in unisex sizing. That's on top of the Ja 4 "Zombie" above.
It's University Red almost head to toe, with Medium Olive metallic hits on the reverse Swoosh and midfoot shank. A studded shroud with a center zipper covers the laces and runs up over the ankle. The zipper reads "Call Twelve," the heel tabs say "Don't" and "Sleep," and the insoles carry graffiti "Twelve Time" branding with a ghoulish Ja caricature at the heel. Sneaker News, which posted Nike's official images, notes it's Nike Basketball's first high-top signature shoe in years, with the LeBron 19 as the last arguable one.

Our take: $180 is a big jump from the regular Ja 4, and a zipped-up studded shroud is going to split the group chat. But a blood-red high-top that actually drops on Halloween is the most on-theme release date in the whole collection. Nobody else got October 31.
Update (October 16, afternoon): Wemby's pair has a price now. Per House of Heat, the Victor Wembanyama × Nike G.T. Cut 4 "Halloween" (IX5395-300) is set for October 23 at $210. It's light green all over with darker green organic graphics, black Swooshes and an alien head on the heel. Inside there's a zombie Wemby graphic, and the same character art shows up on the mask that comes with it. A pale green midsole and a translucent outsole keep the whole thing tonal. Sole Retriever is calling it "crop circles," which is fair. And $210 is $10 more than LeBron's Storm Drain, which feels about right for a guy who plays like he's from another planet.
Update (October 17, morning): Devin Booker's pair has a date now. Per House of Heat, the Nike Book 2 "Scary Chapter" (IO7942-001) is expected October 30 through Nike.com and select retailers, which lines up with the rolling schedule above. It goes full Frankenstein: a mostly bone-white upper, black laces, oversized Swooshes and stitch graphics running around the toe and heel, small green hits on the tongue branding, and "Chapter Two" running down the heel pull tabs. The mask is a stitched-up Booker wearing an orange Nike headband, and House of Heat says glow-in-the-dark details are on the way too, though the full glow hasn't been shown yet. No price has been posted. Our take: a white shoe with a few stitches is the most wearable costume in the whole pack, so this is the one you can still rock in November. The mask stays home.
Update (October 17, late morning): LeBron's pair has a date too. Per Just Fresh Kicks, the Nike LeBron 24 "Storm Drain" (IX5103-001, Pure Platinum/Gym Red/Dark Team Red/Iron Grey/Wolf Grey/Campfire Orange) is set for October 30 at $200 through Nike.com and select retailers, in unisex sizing. Nike hasn't confirmed the date yet. If it holds, Pennywise and Booker's Frankenstein land on the same day, which is a pretty good double feature for the night before Halloween.
Update (October 17, afternoon): Caitlin Clark finally got her mask moment, sort of. She showed off her Nike Caitlin 1 "Halloween" (JA4290-001) on Nike Basketball's social accounts, and per House of Heat the official colorway is Black/Ghost Green/Mint Foam/Racer Blue, with a Nike.com launch around Friday, October 23 at $150. The stacked Swooshes, CC branding and outsole are the minty parts, and they glow once the lights go out. Still no mask in the box, but a shoe that lights up under the bleachers is a pretty good costume on its own.
