Some Suedes are smooth. This one looks like it needs a brush. Tokyo sneaker shop BILLY'S ENT has another exclusive PUMA Suede Classic on the way, and this time it's called "Chocolate Fondue" (style 410801-01). It drops Friday, October 16 in Japan for ¥14,300, according to Fullress.
The recipe is the one BILLY'S has been running with PUMA lately: a long-pile, fuzzy suede upper that looks more like a teddy bear than a basketball shoe, with the formstrip done in leather and switched to silver. Fullress says this shaggy-suede-plus-silver setup is turning into a regular series between the two, and this round goes brown. The Japanese nickname on the campaign art is 茶銀, which just means "brown and silver." Honest, at least. A cream midsole, the gold PUMA wordmark, the green tongue label and a BILLY'S logo insole finish it off. The photos show it with brown laces and with white laces, and the white pair is the one we'd wear first.

Our take: chocolate brown and silver shouldn't work this well together, but the long suede soaks up the color so the silver strip really pops. This is the kind of pair that makes a plain fit look planned. The fuzzy suede will pick up everything, though, so maybe skip the actual fondue while you're wearing it.
