Update, October 19: Tomorrow's the day. Slam Jam's product page for the Slam Jam 6-Inch Waterproof Boot in Wheat (style TB0A2NSF75410) is now live at €250, not purchasable yet. The listing fills in a few details: a leather tag with Slam Jam's upside-down "A" signature hanging from a silver chain, both brands' logos on the lateral side, two sets of laces in black and smoked pearl, and a custom box. Stateside, Sole Retriever reported it at $255 through Timberland. Kentucky boot weather is right on schedule.
Slam Jam has put its name on the most famous boot in streetwear. According to Fullress, the Timberland × Slam Jam Heritage 6-Inch Waterproof Boot (listed as TB0A2NSF75410) arrives October 20 for €250, sold through Slam Jam, the Italian shop that has spent more than three decades as Europe's unofficial embassy for streetwear.
The recipe doesn't mess with the classic. It's wheat nubuck with a dark padded collar, and the tell is a black woven SLAM JAM tab stitched onto the quarter, right above the tree logo. You also get gunmetal hex-style eyelets and black-and-grey speckled laces in place of the usual tan. Under the hood it's the full Heritage spec Fullress lists: 200g PrimaLoft insulation, a waterproof membrane, the padded collar, an anti-fatigue footbed and a steel shank.
Our take: this is the quietest kind of collab, and we mean that as a compliment. Slam Jam's own shelves already carry the standard black Heritage 6-Inch at €230, so the label tab and lace swap cost you about twenty euros. That's cheap for bragging rights, as long as people stand close enough to read your ankle. Late-October Kentucky mornings are exactly what this boot was built for, so the timing works out too.
ONENESS has carried Slam Jam's Converse collab before. This Timberland pair isn't in the ONENESS lineup, but you can shop the brand at ONENESS / Timberland.
Update (October 16): The pair isn't staying a Slam Jam-only affair. Sole Retriever reports the boot releases October 20 through both Slam Jam and Timberland, in-store and online, in unisex sizing at $255 US retail. It also spots a nubuck hang tag carrying Slam Jam's "Chaos is Order" motto, which is about as loud as this boot ever gets. Good news if you were not excited about paying to ship a pair of Butters from Ferrara.
