Nike's recovery range is getting a boot. House of Heat reports that the Nike 24.7 Men's Boot is a $160 leather slip-on built for wearing before and after training, and that it's set to debut on November 1 on Nike.com and at select retailers.
The pair in the photo is "Dark Driftwood/Mosswood Brown/Orange Pulse" (IR0450-200). House of Heat also lists Black and Pale Ivory versions under IR0451-200 and IR0452-200. The upper is soft brown leather with a heavily padded collar and almost no visible branding. The heel is where it gets interesting. The material folds into a stack of ridges, and House of Heat says it's hard not to see a little Air Yeezy 2 in that back end. We see it too.

Underneath, Nike uses a stacked foam midsole built around what it calls "bellowed compression," with a high sidewall to keep your foot in place. The outsole has cushioned pods for bounce, and they're the only loud part of the shoe: a bright coral peeking out from under the brown sole. Inside, it's plush padding all the way around, because the whole point is to slide into it after a game, a workout or a long day on your feet.
Our take: this is a slipper that went to college. Recovery shoes usually look like foam slides you hide under the couch, and Nike made one you could wear to dinner. At $160 it isn't cheap, but if it feels as soft as it looks, a lot of people are going to wear it far more often than "after training."
