New Era Japan’s latest BASICKS × MLB triple collaboration is on sale today — Sunday, September 20, 2026 — through the New Era Japan online store, BASICKS shops, and authorized dealers. New Era Japan’s official blog and PR Times announcement (dated September 18) set the on-sale for Sep 20 at 10:00 JST; launch-day fashion blogs echoed the retail open this morning.
Designer Masanori Morikawa’s BASICKS heart mark lands on six MLB clubs — including first-time New Era × BASICKS treatments for the Mets, Astros, Tigers, and Pirates. Silhouettes expand past the usual collab 9FORTY into 9TWENTY as well, for a past-largest run of 11 caps at ¥14,300 each (tax in). One model is flagged BASICKS direct / dealer exclusive.
New Era Japan notes purchase limits (one per person), member requirements on EC, and that some SKUs are EC-only (not in NEW ERA STORE). This is a Japan retail window.

Update, October 6: the Yomiuri Giants join the collab
FACT: New Era Japan announced a new round of its BASICKS collab on October 6, this time with Japan's Yomiuri Giants baseball team. It is three 9FORTY caps, each with the BASICKS logo stitched on the right side, a detail the team's own practice caps don't have. They go on sale Friday, October 9, at 10:00 AM Japan time (9:00 PM ET on Thursday, October 8) for ¥8,800 each. New Era Japan says they are sold online only and won't be in its NEW ERA STORE shops; Fullress lists the New Era Japan online store, the Giants' online stores, and BASICKS shops and dealers.
ANALYSIS: After six MLB clubs in September, BASICKS brings the heart logo home to Japan's best-known team. At ¥8,800, these cost a lot less than the ¥14,300 MLB caps, so this is the easier way into the collab.
