Nike is giving its new Foamposite spin-off an unusual first stop: a vintage store. Per Sole Retriever, the Nike Air Max Foamdome Low "Green Goblin" debuts Saturday, October 17 in-store only at both Luke's NYC locations, for one day, before a wider release later this holiday season. Retail is $200, in unisex sizing.

Luke's owner Luke Fracher announced it on Instagram the way you'd want: holding an armful of pairs and staring into the camera like he's been asked to babysit them. The shoe has a black midsole, outsole and tongue, with the rest of the upper in an iridescent armored metallic green that shifts toward gold in the light. Sole Retriever calls it a throwback to a classic Foam colorway. The Green Goblin name fits. It looks like something Norman Osborn would wear to a board meeting.

Some context: an Eggplant colorway of the Foamdome Low was shown during Paris Fashion Week in June. Taking this one to a shop best known for selling old stuff is a smart move. A thrift-store drop for a brand-new shoe is the kind of thing that gets people to stand outside on a Saturday morning.

Our take: the Foamposite shell on an Air Max-style lugged base is a lot of shoe, and that's the point. This colorway is the strongest case for it so far. If you're not in New York this weekend, wait for the holiday release.

The details: Nike Air Max Foamdome Low "Green Goblin," $200, releases October 17, 2026 in-store only at Luke's NYC (both locations), with a wider release planned for Holiday 2026. Browse Nike at ONENESS.

Update (October 16): The Foamdome family just got bigger. Nike has official images out for the original Nike Air Max Foamdome boot in "Eggplant" (IX7255-506), the 2000s sneaker-boot that this new Low spins off from, and Sneaker News reports it returns November 5 on SNKRS for $265. Same deal as the original: a purple-to-black iridescent Foamposite shell wrapped around a black leather boot upper.

Eggplant is the colorway most people picture when they hear "Foamposite," so bringing it back on the boot is about as safe a bet as Nike makes. $265 is boot money, but to be fair, it is a boot. Nothing changes for the Low: the Green Goblin is still Saturday, October 17, in-store only at both Luke's NYC locations, $200, with the wider release still set for Holiday 2026.
