Nike's Air Max 90 "Glow In The Dark Safari" Looks Like an atmos Collab, but It's All Nike

Nike has an Air Max 90 on the way that looks like an atmos collab, and the funny part is that it isn't one. The Nike Air Max 90 "Glow In The Dark Safari" (IX5026-030) mixes two things atmos has basically built a career on, safari print and glow-in-the-dark details, and puts them on Tinker Hatfield's classic just in time for spooky season. Sneaker News, which posted the official images this evening, said it best: it has all the telltale signs of an atmos pair without the atmos name on it.

Here's the build. Safari-print leather covers the quarter panels and the mudguard. The Swoosh, the Nike Air branding and the outsole come in Barely Volt, and that outsole is the part that glows once the lights go off. Phantom, a soft off-white, handles the eyestays, the mudguard window and the midsole, and the tongue tag gets an upgraded safari-print leather patch with Barely Volt stitching. Nike's images also show a spare set of Barely Volt laces in the box.

Our take: atmos fans are going to look at this and feel a little robbed, and honestly, fair. But the colors are the smart move here. Instead of the usual loud orange and brown safari look, it's soft cream and tan with that sour-apple green, so it reads more like a spring pastel than a Halloween costume until you hit the lights. Sneaker News lists it as a standard Nike release, not a limited one, so it shouldn't be impossible to get, and the glowing sole is a nice little party trick for a shoe that looks pretty calm in daylight.

The details: Nike Air Max 90 "Glow In The Dark Safari," IX5026-030, $145. Sneaker News lists the release as Fall/Winter 2026 through Nike. Nike hasn't posted an exact date yet.
