Most sneaker collabs come with a hoodie. Coco Zurita's comes with a compact SUV. The longtime Vans BMX rider has teamed up with Acura on a one-off 2026 Acura ADX "CZ-77 Concept" and a matching Vans x Coco Zurita Authentic, and both show up Saturday, October 24: the shoe drops exclusively on vans.com, and the car makes its public debut at Vans headquarters in Costa Mesa, California, from 9 AM to noon local time (noon to 3 PM ET).

The shoe is the part most of us can actually take home. Per Sneaker News, it's a black-and-white checkerboard Authentic with an inside-out tag on the lateral side, "Off The Wall" printed along the back half of the sidewall, and translucent outsoles that let even more checkerboard peek through underneath. The headline move is the bumper, which gets pulled out along the sides into a lightning bolt, so the classic foxing stripe now looks like it got struck mid-session. Neither Vans nor Acura has posted a price yet, so we're not going to guess one.

Then there's the car. Acura says roughly 90% of the fabric inside the CZ-77 came from Vans North America, the same kinds of materials Vans uses in its skate and BMX footwear. The cabin gets Sparco bucket seats and a Sparco steering wheel, an NRG harness bar, custom upholstery designed by Zurita and a rear-seat delete. Outside it runs 19-inch Rotiform wheels with aero discs, a carbon-fiber front lip, splitter, side skirts and rear diffuser, custom fender flares, a custom exhaust and graphics pulled straight from the shoe campaign. The rear seats went away to make room for a purpose-built structure that holds and displays Zurita's BMX bike, which is the most honest use of cargo space we've ever seen.

Zurita, who grew up in Santiago, Chile and now lives in Los Angeles, has ridden in more than a dozen X Games with multiple podiums, and this is his third Acura build after a 2023 Integra that debuted at SEMA in 2022 and a 2024 TLX Type S. Acura frames the project as a nod to his 20th year with Vans and Vans' 60th anniversary. "Cars and bikes have always been an extension of how I express myself," Zurita said in Acura's announcement.

Our take: the lightning-bolt bumper is a genuinely fun tweak on a silhouette that has been around since 1966, and it's the rare collab detail you'll notice from across the room. The car is a one-off concept with no production version, so the shoe is your only souvenir. Good news: it fits in a shoebox, and you don't have to delete your back seats to bring it home.

At ONENESS: this collab is a vans.com exclusive, so you won't find it here, but if you want an Authentic of your own, grab the Vans LX Authentic 44 Atiba in Pink, get your checkerboard fix with the Vans Old Skool Stitch in Checkerboard Black, or browse the full Vans collection.
