PALY left Los Angeles for Fall/Winter 2026, and it brought the ghosts along. The label's new FW26 campaign film premiered today on Highsnobiety. Last season's ads were sunny LA. This one is a moody short shot at an animal sanctuary in rural France, directed by Pietro Coppolecchia and narrated by Eric Roberts. Roberts starred in PALY's SS26 campaign, and with roughly 700 films to his name he's Hollywood's most-credited living actor.
Per Highsnobiety, the film follows a doomed French couple who end up in a surreal house where people may or may not be turning into animals. The crew has worked with Luca Guadagnino, Steven Spielberg, Ridley Scott and Luc Besson. Co-founder Kyle Lindgren told the outlet the film is meant as a retelling, not the story itself, the same way Hollywood builds its own legends. He also wrapped up the whole concept about as honestly as a designer can: "We hope the film gets people thinking. And if not, hopefully they like the clothes." Roberts, for his part, says that apart from Levi Strauss he knows nothing about fashion, which somehow makes him perfect for the job.
From the stills, FW26 leans into heavy layers. There's a long grey overcoat over washed denim, a heavy brown coat, a grey cardigan with an animal patch worn with checked burgundy trousers, and a burgundy satin bomber with an embroidered Hollywood back piece. It's still PALY's faded, worn-in Tinseltown look, now in farmhouse lighting.

Our take: most fashion films are a celebrity walking slowly toward the camera. PALY cast an ostrich, a stork and an eagle, and the birds steal every frame they're in. Moving a brand literally named Hollywood to a French farmyard is a gutsy swing, and it lands because the clothes look like they belong to people with a history. PALY drops tend to sell out fast (Highsnobiety puts its ripped jeans around $1,550 and graphic long sleeves around $495), so keep an eye out. The ostrich, sadly, is not part of the collection.
