One of the cleanest Air Jordan 14s ever made is coming out of the archive. The Air Jordan 14 Retro “Forest Green” (style 487471-300) is set to return on Saturday, October 31 via SNKRS and select Jordan Brand retailers for $215, according to Nice Kicks and Complex. The pair first released in 2005, and Complex calls it one of the model's most popular non-OG styles.
The recipe hasn't changed. Complex reports this retro is identical to the original: a white leather upper, deep green hits around the ankle and through the midsole, a black carbon fiber shank plate in the middle of the tooling and a white outsole underneath. Nice Kicks lists the colorway as White/Black/Deep Forest Green/Graphite. The green does all the talking, and it never has to raise its voice.
The 14 has always been the sports-car Jordan, with the shield badge on the side, the low-slung shape and the vents in the midsole. Most people know it as the black-and-red pair MJ wore for his last shot as a Bull. "Forest Green" is the opposite mood: the 14 for people who want the design without the drama, and a shoe that looks more at home on a Sunday walk than in a highlight reel.

Our take: dropping a white-and-green shoe on Halloween is a bold move, because it will be the least spooky thing anyone wears that night. But a non-OG coming back 21 years later exactly as it was tells you how well the original aged. If you missed it in 2005, or wore yours until the leather creased into a topographic map, this is the second chance.
